Soundtracks – a cycle of new songs, poetry and music
to celebrate the re-doubling of the  Cotswold Line.

In the Spring of 2010, Voices Unlimited (Charlbury’s community choir) won a BBC Performing Arts Award to commission a new work to celebrate the redoubling of the Cotswold Line. Since then, Kismet, together with poet Joe Butler, has been immersed in the history, humour, pathos and drama of the railways, and the Cotswold Line in particular. The final results of our work will be presented for the first time at the end of September 2010.

Soundtracks is a full-length cycle of songs for choir, instrumental music and poetry, together with a song composed with Charlbury Primary School Choir, and a guest appearance from Charlbury Morris Dancers. It’s the biggest composition project we’ve been involved in, and we’re rather excited!
